Kelsey Lutjen

Kelsey is a 17 year old Junior at Florence Virtual Academy in Florence, AZ. Kelsey started rodeoing at the age of 4 and started riding when she could sit on a horse by herself. Kelsey won her first state all-around title at the age of 8 years old. From then on, nothing could stop her. She has won the state all-around title almost every year then on. Kelsey then went on to win the National Goat Tying Championship in 2008 at the Wrangler Junior High National Finals in Farmington, New Mexico. That same year, her horse Colonel Falcon aka “Dunny” won the girls national horse of the year. After her National Championship in 2008, she went on to win 2nd at the 2009 International Youth Finals Rodeo held in Shawnee, Oklahoma. She is currently leading the Arizona State girls all-around title and is looking forward to representing Arizona again at the International Youth Finals Rodeo and National High School Finals Rodeo.

Kelsey is very active with younger girls in helping them perfect their rodeo skills. She holds numerous clinics and gives private lessons. Kelsey is very active and encourages younger kids to be active as well.
